Tonight we are going to explore the the badges from Defcon and what can be done with them. We will be getting a list of what will be needed and costs so we can start the badge hacking in December.

We would have liked to start tonight, but neither of us have had time to prepare or order what was needed. See you tonight.

Last month we had a casual meeting to discuss possible meeting ideas
for next year here is what came out:

Host a website with local security happenings (don't restrict entries
to just corporate).

Change some of the DC612 meetings to lunches to open up meetings to
those who cant come after work. (quarterly)

Let me know if I missed anything or if you want to add something.

I would like to keep this meeting informal but also productive. Over the last couple of years we have been unsuccessful in project planning. I would like to sit down and make the wish list for 2009. Who do you want for presentations, what projects are you interested in, what topics or events should we incorporate? This will be a casual discussion to generate ideas. The rest of the night is just freeform. We will be in the smaller of the two banquet rooms. Hope to see you all there.

My plan is to show the documentary shown at DefCon this year called "Hackers Are People Too". I am waiting on a callback from Elsies to verify that we can get the room with the projector and screen. I will try to get ordering information for the Documentary before Thursday in the event that members want to order a copy. Otherwise I will post it up on the site later.

Jay has offered to give a presentation on cryptography and PKI for tonights meeting. We may have some weather issues but we will be there for sure.

Please note that they needed our normal banquet space for a large party. We will be in upper dining area of the bar. Go all the way to the back when you enter the dining area. We will have the partition drawn for the presentation so just come on in.
